I clearly remember at the GC version of Animal Crossing

There are games where such a strategy could make sense & not remove from the child's ability to enjoy their switch. However, in animal crossing, where you get 1 island and can't roll it back or undo items (as much as I am aware, have not played new horizons but did play the original)? The daughter is basically not experiencing the game. Which sucks if it's intended to function as system or her game.

I had this bullshit for a kid too. Anyone older I shared a game with (except my Dad who is a legend) would do the whole"you can do this bit/change this but anything else you need to ask." Yet if they wanted to change something? They'd"perform a vote" and I would be out numbered.

And that there is the reason my parents (very well ) got me my own memory card/consoles, and as an adult everything I have has a password. I mean, is not it kind of unfair thatIf I am recalling correctly the entire original aim Animal Crossing was going to recreate the feeling of moving into a brand new town irl. Not everyone likes you and you are going to feel a bit alone, but you slowly make your home nicer, you have to know people, and you really begin to love the place you are living in, all.

I clearly remember at the GC version of Animal Crossing I'd one NPC that I actually liked (a rooster who had a lot of contemporary furniture). He literally decided to move on to bigger and better things one day. I could not stop himhe had his own life to live like so many people that you meet irl. It was kind of sad that I couldn't prevent him from leaving my city, but looking back on it I developed a fond memory due to that. As I've gotten older I've also came to understand how true to life that is. Sometimes people just have to proceed.

Something I wish they'd add is, instead of creatures just not going away ever in the event that you befriend them, they would keep in touch after they leave. Sending you mail about what they're up to, maybe with postcards and gifts and stuff. Hell, they might even return afterwards and proceed back in. I remember one of my old villagers at NL showing up at the downtown region again while visitjng, but that is about it.
