The Playground Mode was easily the Fortnite Items most highly anticipated LTM that has come to Fortnite Battle Royale up to now. Butsoon after its release, it was handicapped.

This occurred due to the Matchmaking Service (MMS) not being able to deal with the extra strain, as Epic explains:"Since Playground mode makes games for each 1-4 people rather than 100, it takes between 25 and 100 times as many games as ordinary based on party size. While we can package virtual servers somewhat thinner per physical CPU for Playground mode, we still had to use 15 times as many servers as we'd been operating for the other modes. We Could secure the total server capacity, but it meant the list that every node had to manage was abruptly 15 times so long as well, "

"When we published Playground, the buy fortnite materials overwhelming demand quickly drained the regional lists for MMS nodes far faster than the machine may refresh them. Every node was operating to every other node to request extra servers that just weren't there yet, or at the very least required a very long time to pick out of those non-local lists.

The long calculate times caused the CPU to end up with a backlog of pending requests, resulting in a feedback loop that finally resulted in the system to grind to a halt."
